“I enjoyed working at Sono Studios with Norwegian band Midnight Choir very much. The "live" recording room is surprisingly controlable - and we were all happy with the results - great drum sounds and an excellent room for strings. Added to that - friendly staff, luxury accomodation, a good collection of microphones and a Neve desk - what more could you want - I will be back.”

David Bianco (producer of Tom Petty, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Pearl Jam, Lucie-píseň Žár, Madrugada, Hellbillies) says:

I sure had a wonderful time at Sono. I felt very welcome and at home thanks to you and Pavel. I will never forget your kindness and hospitality. It would be my pleasure to write a few lines about the studio. First off I really loved the sound of the room. I was able to get a really great drum sound very quickly. Not only was the ambient sound really nice but we were able to move the drums and get a really good tight sound as well that was very powerful.

Mixing was a pleasure. The control room was very accurate and the mixes seemed to expand outside of the room as we played the music on other systems in other environments. There was none of that "it sounded great in the control room but not any where else" kind of thing. Just the opposite was true. The mixes even sounded better. I also have to say that staff engineer Samo is extremely gifted and was a pleasure to work with. His unflagging efficiency and patience are a pleasure to be a beneficiary of. He, I predict, will be one of the best of the next generation of engineer/producers.”

Sono was a lovely experience for me. To work in such a relaxed, aesthetically pleasing environment and get such wonderful results was truly amazing. I look forward to the next project I can do in Prague so that I might return.
